George Nowack, MBA

George Nowack is a registered Investment Advisor Representative of Hunter Street Investment Advisors.  George's investment management career began in 1998 and includes experience serving a diverse group of clients in a variety of roles in many different environments.  Recent experiences include the ownership of Ashworth Financial, a North Carolina registered investment advisor.  Ashworth Financial was merged into Hunter Street Investment Advisors in September 2019.  George has held the position of Tax Compliance Officer with the United States Treasury Department since 2010.  Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Risk Manager within the Capital Markets Division of the Federal National Mortgage Association.  In 2003 George worked as the Director of Investments with  Horizon Trust & Investments.  He began his investment advisory career as an Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager with First Union National Bank.  

George earned his undergraduate degree in Finance at The University of North Florida.  He then completed his MBA at the University of Notre Dame.  In 2008, George completed his Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University. 

George has developed skills and expertise in the areas of personal finance, wealth management, income taxation and enterprise risk management.  He lives with his wife and son in southern Wake County and is vested in the welfare of the Raleigh community. George is active in the IRS VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Preparation) program as well as Budget counseling at his local church.  He works with different ministries like CROWN Financial and Compass Ministries.  George currently holds the following FINRA qualifications: Series 65, Registered Investment Adviser Examination.
